Key Strategic Initiatives Project Lead

Coordinate and deliver strategic priorities for Pathways and Transitions, focusing on integrating vocational and higher-education pathways. This includes initiatives like the Vocational Schools Pilot and the Pathways for Secondary Students Strategy, designed to support students across NSW through successful post-school destinations.

As a key project team member, provide strategic oversight and support, including governance and policy development, liaising with stakeholders, and interfacing with school stakeholders to ensure best outcomes for students.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to reform implementation that will change how schools support student aspiration and success in senior years and beyond.

Responsibilities include:

  • Embedding best practice project management frameworks
  • Developing and delivering programs through strategic relationships with industry partners
  • Implementing appropriate governance and risk frameworks
  • Managing program administration and budgets
  • Providing expert advice on program design and deliverables to senior executives and Minister's Offices

**Essential Requirements:**

  • Degree qualification in a related field
  • Working with Children Check for paid employment

**Desirable Skills and Experience:**

  • Project management experience in large, diverse, and complex organisations
  • Knowledge and commitment to implementing Department's Aboriginal Education Policy
