Water Treatment Plant Operations Manager
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient operation of a major water treatment plant, ensuring seamless supply to millions of people across Southeast Queensland.
- Supervise and motivate a team to meet daily operational targets
- Manage rostering, scheduling, and performance monitoring to optimize work processes
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents
- Deliver expert advice on water treatment processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
Requirements include:
- Relevant qualifications such as trade certificates or Water Industry Operations Certificate III
- Proven experience in water treatment operations and infrastructure management
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to supervise teams and optimize work schedules
- Competency in SCADA systems, laboratory testing, and reporting
Desirable qualifications include senior first aid certification, confined space entry capability, and experience with multiple treatment technologies and control systems. Applicants must also possess a valid driver's license and be willing to participate in on-call rosters.
