About This Opportunity

This role is responsible for leading a team to ensure effective and efficient operation of a major water treatment plant, overseeing a range of activities including rostering, scheduling, performance monitoring, and asset maintenance.

The key focus is to deliver reliable and safe treated water that meets internal and external customer expectations while optimising resource allocation, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring business requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise operators, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and task delegation
  • Manage daily operations, including rostering, scheduling, and performance monitoring
  • Provide operational input into asset maintenance and incident management
  • Deliver expert advice on water treatment processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental excellence
About You
  • Relevant Qualifications such as trade certificates, Water Industry Operations Certificate III
  • Proven experience in water treatment operations and infrastructure
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to supervise teams and optimise work schedules
  • Competency in SCADA systems, laboratory testing, and reporting
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to participate in on-call rosters
  • Experience with multiple treatment technologies and control systems (desirable)
