About The Role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Trainer Assessor to deliver high-quality training programs, including the delivery of classroom-based and supervision of students' work placements. The successful applicant will work in a casual hybrid position based in NSW, with opportunities to work at Wyong, Hamilton, and remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide services and support to young people in a way that is aligned to our mission and values and the National Model of Care for Youth Services.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement quality initiatives.
  • Plan, design, and schedule vocational training courses.
  • Source and contextualise training materials to meet the learner needs, ensuring they are engaging and meet current industry requirements.
  • Provide culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
  • Record all client data, interactions, and assessments.
  • Participate in recruitment and enrollment of students.
  • Mark submitted assessments within the required time frame, providing meaningful feedback to the learner.
Requirements
  • Relevant hospitality qualifications.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • A current paid NSW Employee Working With Children Check.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of vocational education and training and hospitality industry in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training to diverse participant groups, face to face, online, and by distance.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn database programs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, listening, and networking skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
  • Compassion and professionalism in all actions and ethics.
  • Energy, flexibility, initiative, and integrity with a positive and friendly attitude.
