Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Advisor to join our team as a key safety leader on transport and civil projects in Western Australia.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a 2:1 FIFO roster flying from Perth, offering a competitive salary of $150,000 inclusive of superannuation and site uplift.

About the Role
  • As the SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone involved in the project, promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the project sites.
  • You will implement safety management plans and ensure alignment with client-specific requirements, monitor and maintain compliance with SHEQ legislation, industry standards, and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular updates on safety and health legislation changes, organisational practices, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure safety standards are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide safety coaching and training to workers and subcontractors.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a safety professional, with a focus on SHEQ in transport, civil, or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a FIFO environment and adapt to remote site conditions.
