The Royal Flying Doctor Service is seeking an experienced Flight Nurse Manager to lead our aeromedical nursing team in Adelaide. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and resourcing the team to ensure the provision of safe, kind, and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the flight nursing team to maintain and develop their knowledge and skills in aeromedical nursing.
- Use expert clinical knowledge and experience to lead clinical service delivery and ensure key performance indicators are met.
- Monitor and report patient outcomes and experiences, and ensure the team is meeting service delivery and patient experience standards.
- Lead investigations and follow-up of incidents and/or safety concerns using SQR management.
- Maintain financial accountability for the flight nursing budget at the Adelaide base.
- Monitor and manage flight nurse resourcing to ensure adequate staffing and lead recruitment campaigns to support a fully recruited workforce.
- Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- A current practicing certificate and at least 5 years post-registration experience.
- A postgraduate qualification in Emergency or Critical care Nursing.
- Registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practicing certificate.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Retrieval Nursing.
- Tertiary qualifications in health care management or equivalent.
