About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Royal Flying Doctor Service. As a Flight Nursing Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals in remote, rural, and regional locations across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess individual patient needs and develop personalized care plans
- Collaborate with the Flight Nursing team to ensure seamless patient transfers
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care
- Restock medical consumables and perform daily equipment checks
- Support the Flight Nurse team to meet doors closed times and load/unload patients from the aircraft
About You
We are looking for a strong problem solver with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. You will be a team player who can work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment and has a thorough understanding of cross-cultural diversity.
Requirements
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- A current practicing certificate or eligibility to hold
- 5 years of acute care nursing experience
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics, and competency standards
