About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Flight Nursing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based patient care to patients transferring through our Adelaide Patient Transfer Facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess individual patient needs and develop care plans to meet their unique requirements
  • Implement care plans to mitigate risks and ensure patient safety
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care
  • Restock medical consumables and perform daily medical equipment checks
  • Support the Flight Nurse team to meet doors closed times and load/unload patients from the aircraft
  • Comply with clinical procedures and guidelines related to clinical practice in the PTF
  • Provide ground support to the Flight Nurse and Aviation teams

About You

We are looking for a competent and knowledgeable nurse who is committed to providing patient-centered care. You will be a strong problem solver with the ability to be creative, innovative, and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • A current practicing certificate or eligibility to hold
  • 5 years of acute care nursing experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics, and competency standards
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems as applied to a healthcare setting
