Job Description">

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of core systems across our platform, scaling infrastructure that's fast, reliable, and secure.

You will be responsible for building backend systems and APIs that scale with our global growth, leading high-impact initiatives across authentication, permissions, usage tracking, and integrations, championing performance, reliability, and testability across backend services, driving cross-functional planning with product, data, and mobile teams, and mentoring engineers to help build technical alignment across squads.

  • 7+ years of experience building backend systems, with expert-level Node.js skills
  • Deep experience designing and scaling APIs in cloud environments (GCP preferred)
  • Proven technical leadership in cross-functional product teams
  • Strength in system architecture, observability, and performance tuning
  • Strong mentorship mindset and collaborative approach
