Job Title: Regional Capability Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Regional Capability Specialist. The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance in operations.

Role Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to develop and maintain the capability of the extensive NSW Train Crew. This will be achieved by delivering nationally accredited training and assessment, conducting toolbox talks, briefing sessions, infield training, coaching, and mentoring. Additionally, you will support the delivery of safety-related programs and messages to foster a strong safety culture within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a safety leader and advocate for high standard safety practices.
  • D deliver and support Rail programs focusing on safety, health, risk management, environmental compliance, and quality.
  • Support the ongoing capability development of all Driver Trainers.
  • Partner with the local Area Manager to address local training demands.

Essential Skills:

  • Coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Consistency in approach to training and assessment activities.
  • Strong understanding of the Vocational Education and Training Sector and RTO Standards and Legislation.
  • Flexibility to adjust training and assessment according to trainee requirements.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
  • Current Certificate IV in Train Driving from the Transport and Logistics Training Package.
  • 5 years' experience as a qualified train driver.
