Your Role: As our Fundraising & Events Coordinator, you'll drive national and local fundraising efforts, working closely with the Community & Events Lead to coordinate campaigns, engage communities, and orchestrate events like our annual gala dinner and the annual book festival.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate diverse fundraising initiatives, including community outreach, school programs, and targeted appeals, to drive results and exceed targets.
- Foster strong partnerships with our Dymocks stores to boost fundraising campaigns and create a lasting impact.
- Assist in crafting and executing communication strategies to amplify engagement and reach a wider audience.
- Organize and manage pivotal DCC events that leave a lasting impression and create a sense of community.
- Secure generous donations and prizes to elevate our fundraising impact and make a real difference in children's lives.
- Provide crucial administrative support across fundraising and event operations, ensuring seamless execution and maximum impact.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives and drive results.
- Maintain meticulous donor records using Salesforce CRM for effective fundraising and relationship-building.
Your Background:
- Minimum one year's experience in fundraising, events, or community engagement within the charity or not-for-profit sector, with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in creating compelling presentations for sponsors and events, showcasing your creativity and skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities independently and collaboratively, ensuring seamless execution and maximum impact.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships and foster strong partnerships.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage audiences.
- Passionate about social justice and making a difference in children's lives, with a commitment to creating a lasting impact.
What You Need:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- CRM experience, preferably Salesforce, with a proven track record of success in fundraising and relationship-building.
