Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

At , we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical tasks including general machining and fitting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general machining tasks including fitment and alignment of gearboxes and motors.
  • General fitting including removal of couplings and general assembly of conveyor equipment and components.
  • Maintain and use mechanical equipment as designed and effectively diagnose and fault-find mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect, analyse and record critical mechanical information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment work.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
  • Minimum 3+ years' mechanical fitting experience (including general machining), working in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring apprentices.
  • Proven ability in planning and managing jobs.
