Mechanical Systems Specialist

As a Mechanical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems in various industrial settings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with rotating and static equipment. They should also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Assembly and installation of mechanical systems
  3. Troubleshooting and servicing of machinery
  4. Maintenance of records and monitoring of parts availability
  5. Training of co-workers

Main Duties:

  • Installation and performance of diagnostic tests on mechanical systems
  • Development and implementation of mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns
  • Troubleshooting of mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performance of repairs
  • Documentation of processes and maintenance of mechanical service records
  • Monitoring of parts availability and replenishment of supplies
  • Optimization of mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
  • Organization and supervision of inspection and maintenance of machines and plant
  • Training of co-workers on safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment
  • Selection of tools and equipment
  • Estimation of material costs and quantities, and machine requirements
  • Collection and analysis of data

Requirements:

  • Suitable certification or relevant experience
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a similar environment
