Capital Projects Manager for SMP Works in Northern Territory

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Capital Projects Manager to oversee SMP works on a Tier 1 Mining Asset Owner's project in the Northern Territory. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of multi-disciplinary capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision, direction, and leadership for portfolio works, ensuring safety and quality targets are achieved.
- Ensure contractors meet schedule and quality requirements, directing work progress, and enforcing compliance.
- Act as the primary interface with contractors, focusing on safety, environmental compliance, and engineering quality.
- Respond to technical queries, verify design and scope, and collaborate with the PIC.
- Build cross-functional relationships with site groups, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Develop and maintain a safety culture, ensuring adherence to all HSE standards, regulations, and practices.
- Lead efforts to ensure contractors meet environmental standards and compliance requirements.
Performance Objectives
- Successfully deliver assigned projects on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards across all project phases.
Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $120,000-$180,000 AUD, depending on experience.
About You
- You will have extensive construction supervision experience in mining, energy, or heavy industry.
- You will have a proven track record in managing brownfield projects involving structural, mechanical, or piping works.
- You will have strong skills in sub-contractor management, stakeholder engagement, and safety leadership.
- You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
