Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled mechanical maintenance professional to undertake preventative and corrective maintenance on complex baggage handling systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Preventative and corrective maintenance (mechanical).
  • Fault finding on automated systems.
  • Using data analytics to enhance system performance.
  • Providing technical support to customers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Australian Trade qualification with Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical, along with at least 3-5 years of post-trade experience as a Service Technician.
  • Strong mechanical background working on industrial automated equipment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English).

Desirable Skills

  • Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical).
  • Experience in logistics, postal sorting, and baggage handling systems.
  • Experience with maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems).
  • Highly motivated with a keen interest to further your own ability and studies.
