Position Description

This role involves implementing and monitoring systems and processes through best practices to maximize efficiency while ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance on a 24-hour shift system. As part of a team, perform plant and equipment process changes to optimize performance within HSE compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine tasks and testing of plant equipment, update the shift log with plant and process changes, and ensure diligent shift handover for effective communication to the following shift.
  • Ensure defect reporting within CMMS is effective and followed through to completion; ensure PMs are completed as required.
  • Manage contractors and control their work areas.
  • Ensure site compliance with contractual and performance obligations under relevant contracts.
  • Assist the Shift Team Leader to develop strategic plans for Operations and implement strategies as required.
Required Skills And Competencies:
  • Boiler and STG operating ticket
  • Minimum 3 years of Thermal Energy Operations or equivalent industry experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience working with large and diverse O&M teams
  • Previous experience in renewable energy or waste management sectors (highly desirable)
