Job Title: Cybersecurity Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cybersecurity professional to join our team as an Information Security Engineer. As a permanent member of our Operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all required security audit records, leading investigations into local security incidents, ensuring local security systems are effectively configured, performing vulnerability management, reviewing requests for change from a security perspective, and assisting in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for local systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security audit records and prepare these for audit processes
  • Lead investigations into local security incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure local security systems are configured to detect and block threats
  • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and manage vulnerabilities according to requirements
  • Review requests for change from a security perspective and provide advice
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for local systems to ensure compliance with security policies

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Australian Citizenship required to attain Baseline Clearance
  • Minimum 3 years+ industry experience in an information security function
  • Solid technical knowledge of current IT security systems, practices, and standards
  • Experience in using SIEM, vulnerability management tools, intrusion detection, and other security systems
  • Excellent documentation and communications skills
  • Knowledge of information security and cyber security standards, frameworks, and code of practices such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27002, NIST Cyber Security Framework, etc.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CISM - Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) will be well regarded
