Job Description:

The Information Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our systems and processes comply with the highest security standards, detecting and managing security incidents to protect our organization.

This role involves maintaining accurate security audit records, preparing them for audits, and leading investigations into local security incidents.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that our local security systems are configured effectively to detect and block threats, as well as performing vulnerability management according to requirements.

Additionally, they will review requests for change from a security perspective and provide expert advice to ensure compliance.

In this role, you will work closely with other teams to develop and maintain standard operating procedures for our systems to ensure they meet security policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian Citizenship is required to attain Baseline Clearance
  • A minimum of 3 years+ industry experience in an information security function
  • Solid technical knowledge of current IT security systems, practices, and standards
  • Experience in using SIEM, vulnerability management tools, intrusion detection, and other security systems
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills are essential
  • Knowledge in information security and cyber security standards, frameworks, and code of practice such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27002, NIST Cyber Security Framework, etc.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CISM - Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) will be highly regarded
