ROLE SUMMARY

The Key Account Director will be responsible for driving the growth of the Ebury brand in the country through strategic research and targeted campaigns, focusing on larger SMEs to mid-level companies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Originate new business opportunities by targeting Middle Market prospects independently.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to cross-sell Ebury lending, cash management, FX hedging, and payment products.
  • Understand clients' business environments, strategies, and industries to provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay informed about the competition's capabilities and gaps to position Ebury's Banking solutions effectively.
  • Promote sales through regular client meetings and discussions on new products, market, and industry developments, working closely with the country head.
  • Expand existing business and provide feedback to technology and product managers.
  • Support Ebury's strong client relationship/servicing culture through ongoing customer contact, written call reports via Salesforce, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong Financial Services sales experience and a well-established network would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a commercial bank (one or several) selling to mid-size corporates.
  • Coupled with experience in an environment different to a bank (this could be a start-up vendor, FX specialist, cash management, etc).
  • Knowledge of the local market.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements.
  • Ideal candidate would have a business/finance academic background.

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and market share goals.
  • Comfortable with a phone sales approach.
  • First-class communication skills, able to win people's commitment and buy-in.
  • Able to develop sales strategies, techniques, and tactics based on customer feedback and market environment.
  • Skilled negotiator, able to build and leverage relationships at senior levels within SMB customers.
  • Quick learner; strong analytical skills.
  • Business fluent English is essential.
