Accounting Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract with potential for extension. Reporting directly to the Financial Accounting Lead, this role involves delivering accurate and timely accounts payable and receivable functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process creditor and customer invoices, prepare payment batches, and manage cash flow effectively.
  • Generate, issue, and manage invoices (including levy invoices), and monitor ageing reports for collections.
  • Complete bank reconciliations, support month-end close, and administer petty cash transactions.
  • Liaise with staff, suppliers, and customers regarding payments, invoicing, and finance queries.
About You
  • Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or equivalent work experience preferably in a government setting.
  • Solid accounts experience with strong attention to detail and bookkeeping skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
Compensation and Employment Terms

Hourly rate: A$43.56 - A$49.15
