Job Summary

The Assurance and Oversight Manager is a key role within the Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group, responsible for driving program assurance and oversight outcomes.

This position will support the Policy and Coordination Unit to undertake priority policy and project management functions, ensuring that activities are strategically aligned and risks and opportunities are understood and managed in accordance with Ministerial and government directions.

  • Drive strategic alignment of projects and activities across SEE, utilising professional expertise and oversight of all stages of complex infrastructure, participation and grants programs.
  • Develop and implement an assurance and oversight framework for SEE to support the delivery of priority projects and programs.
  • Provide expert advice to priorities and cross-cutting policy issues within SEE group.

The successful candidate will have strong project management experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective assurance and oversight frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building mutually beneficial partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring a culture of constructive reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Supporting the Director and Deputy Secretary to deliver the Program Control Board function as part of the Regional Sport Infrastructure Program.
