Our team of experts works on projects that transform and improve the lives of Australians every day. Our environmental science and planning team excels in:

  1. Three key areas: planning, environmental approvals, and contamination investigations and remediation.
  2. A strong pipeline of projects in Tasmania and NSW, particularly in the renewable energy, mining, and extractive sectors.

The Opportunity:

Gain exposure to a diverse range of projects and regions, developing your skills and increasing our capability in the Renewable Energy, mining, and other markets. You will develop and maintain relationships with clients and assist Principals in identifying and managing strategic relationships. You will assume responsibility for managing small, medium, and possibly large-scale projects, including:

  1. Defining project methodology, fee estimates, implementing project plans, technical documentation, project scheduling, and meeting deadlines and budgets;
  2. Applying a deep understanding of environmental management principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions for clients;
  3. Overseeing preparation of environmental impact assessments for varying sized projects in a range of sectors;
  4. Working collaboratively with our in-house environmental, engineering, and stakeholder engagement specialists, and managing external specialist subcontractors;
  5. Identifying and managing project risks.

What You Bring:

Tertiary qualifications in environmental planning, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline; 5 to 10 years' experience with a focus on Environmental Impact Assessments, environmental management, preferably in consulting, industry, or construction. Experience preparing and managing environmental approval documentation for larger developments will be highly favored, particularly for large-scale renewable energy projects. Experience in sourcing, collating, and interpreting environmental and land constraints information; knowledge of environmental planning legislation in Tasmania and/or New South Wales. Experience of planning and environmental legislation in other states and jurisdictions is highly favored; proven project management skills (managing project risk, budget, time-frame, and client requirements).

Why Choose Us:

We're a friendly and passionate team who value work/life balance. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to join us during an exciting time of transformation. We offer:

  1. A supportive and collaborative team environment;
  2. A market-competitive remuneration package and additional benefits;
