Occupational Therapist - Home Care

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team in Wagga Wagga and surrounding area. This role delivers evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions under Aged Care Funding to help clients regain independence and continue living at home.

The successful candidate will possess a Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration, as well as proven ability to assess occupational therapy needs and design tailored programs for aged care clients within the community. Postgraduate experience working across diverse aged care services, including community-based settings, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions to clients in their homes.
  • Assess client needs and design tailored programs to promote independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience: Proven ability to assess occupational therapy needs and design tailored programs for aged care clients within the community. Postgraduate experience working across diverse aged care services, including community-based settings, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Thorough knowledge of health and wellbeing frameworks, including reablement and restorative care models. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in computer literacy, with a willingness to utilise required software to facilitate remote work.
