Restaurant Host/Hostess Opportunity

Our restaurant is seeking a skilled and customer-focused host/hostess to join our team. If you have excellent communication skills, are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy providing exceptional guest service, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Summary:

The host/hostess will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing the waiting list, and ensuring seamless transitions between courses. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and welcome them to our restaurant.
  • Manage the waiting list and communicate with guests regarding wait times.
  • Ensure efficient transitions between courses, including taking orders and serving food and beverages.
  • Assist servers as needed, including delivering menus, refilling drinks, and clearing tables.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive, responsive, and proactive in addressing guest needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the host stand and surrounding areas.
  • Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
  • Basic knowledge of menu items and pricing is a plus.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
