Job Summary:

Placement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Placement Specialist to manage the placement of existing and new business, while serving as a key negotiator and problem solver in obtaining the most appropriate placements based on our clients needs.

This role requires strong relationship management and marketing skills within an exciting dynamic business unit. You will work closely with underwriters, practice leaders, claims personnel, and client service teams to build and maintain strong relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies as required
  • Support new business growth across regions and assist in the development of new products
  • Stay abreast of changing market conditions and inform practice client servicing teams and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of coverage

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years experience within a broking, underwriting, or placement position
  • A solid understanding of risk management and major classes of insurance (Property, Liability, and Motor)
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Relevant Broking qualifications (Tier 1 Compliance) and tertiary studies are desired
