About the Role

McDonald's Australia is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our maintenance team. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our restaurant environment, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for customers and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, cleaning the restaurant and surrounding areas, and completing ad-hoc maintenance tasks as requested by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the internal and external restaurant environment to provide a clean and welcoming space for customers and staff.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure it is well-functioning and the restaurant environment is safe and secure from potential hazards.
  • Organize and clean the back area of the restaurant, including the rubbish area and staff toilets.
  • Comply with restaurant safety and security standards for a safe working environment.
  • Complete ad-hoc maintenance tasks as requested by management.

Requirements:

  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Availability to work early mornings to prepare the restaurant for trade.
  • Ability to independently complete tasks, including but not limited to mopping, scrubbing, climbing ladders, cleaning windows and toilets.
  • Confident in engaging with customers, suppliers or contractors, including handling difficult situations.
  • Capable of hearing and responding to various alerts and alarms.
  • Resilient and adaptable, bouncing back from challenges with a positive mindset.
