About the Role

The Field Supervisor is a critical position that oversees a team of multi-disciplined trade-based personnel in support of project-based construction activities.

This role has been created due to growth within the N2P project, where Ventia requires multiple Field Supervisors with a good understanding of all works associated with Telecommunication projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site walk-outs and planning to ensure efficient construction activities in accordance with plans and schedules.
  • Lead and manage subcontractors on construction sites, ensuring compliance with protocols and delivery schedules.
  • Liaise with clients regarding Construction Variations and communicate outcomes in line with business protocols.
  • Escalate resource requirements and shortages with Area Supervisors/Superintendents.
  • Liaise with Site Engineers to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of construction activities.
  • Manage HSE inspections and report incidents as needed.
  • Perform Quality checks to ensure compliance with appropriate standards.
About You

You will possess the following competencies:

  • Telecommunication knowledge (Telstra/NBN) is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and understand Telstra and NBN plans is also an advantage.
  • Civil Background: previous experience working with Directional Drills, Ploughing, Open Trenching.
  • Understanding of Residential and Business building structures and cabling requirements.
  • Previous experience supervising contractors.
  • Willingness to travel around the state.
