About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional to join our team at ALS. As a HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in upholding our core principle of "We are Safe."

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and support to management and staff on HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and implement HSE training programs to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Manage and develop risk assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor and record hazard observations, near misses, and injuries.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the national HSE team to ensure alignment across laboratories.

Requirements

  • Formal qualifications in HSE (Cert IV minimum) and previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
