About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join our team at BAE Systems Australia.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing supplier claims, calculating quantities of labour, materials and durations, and supporting assessment of non-conformance.

You will also support initial tendering, contract management, and supplier disputes, working with contract managers to deliver projects to cost, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will have experience in the delivery of services/ construction contracts, a detailed understanding of optimal contracting and pricing routes, and sound commercial skills and acumen.

Australia is an attractive location for defence professionals, offering a strong economy, high standard of living, and a diverse range of outdoor activities.

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About You
  • Australia Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance (Essential).
  • Demonstrated Quantity Surveying experience within a relevant sector.
  • Experience in the delivery of services/ construction contracts, detailed understanding of optimal contracting and pricing routes.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial discipline (desirable).
  • Sound commercial skills and acumen with a proven capability in negotiations Demonstrable skills in managing production subcontracts including valuations, claims and disputes.
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills.
  • Sound understanding of standard Method of Measurement.
