Role Overview

The Principal Asset Planning role is a key position that drives synergies between multiple operations, functions, and assets, ensuring a common approach to managing mining equipment assets.

This role will perform in-depth modeling and analysis, providing recommendations to manage mining equipment and deliver equipment and asset requirements to meet production demand and decarbonization plans.

Responsibilities include developing cost estimation methodologies, performing advanced modeling, driving fleet and equipment transition, assessing current fleet performance, and collaborating with senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • A proven commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development
  • 10 years of demonstrated operational experience in heavy industry Asset Management or coupled with a degree in Engineering or similar
  • Proficiency in developing cost models, understanding financial metrics, and proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting relevant data
  • Proficiency in using simulation and optimisation software for equipment selection highly regarded
