Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our business, you will be responsible for mentoring and leading a team of Business Analysts, engaging with senior stakeholders to translate complex business problems into actionable technical requirements, and creating and utilizing artefacts to drive business improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and Lead Team: Provide guidance and support to a team of Business Analysts, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, working closely with them to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Business Analysis: Conduct thorough business analysis to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and implement changes that drive business value.
  • Artefact Development: Create and utilize artefacts such as BA practice methodologies, requirements templates, process diagrams, journey maps, change and communication plans, and agile practices to support business improvement.
  • Discipline Advocacy: Advocate for and implement better business analysis disciplines within the wider business and technology team.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrated recent experience in a similar position within the insurance industry.
  • Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring a team of Business Analysts.
  • Agile Practices: Strong exposure to Agile practices, including advanced knowledge of MS Tools (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft 365), Atlassian Toolset (Confluence, JIRA), process mapping, storyboarding, and wireframing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of policy administration, underwriting workflow, and claims systems and processes.
  • Business Analysis: Experience with business system and process analysis, with a strong systems mindset including all aspects of the BA value stream and solutions development lifecycle.
