Job Summary

The Senior Trading Underwriter role is a high-profile position that demands extensive technical and trading expertise in the company's products.

The successful candidate will be accountable for executing an effective strategy for the product(s), leading a team of Underwriters and Senior Underwriters, and driving the development of trading activity through new and existing relationships.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the market, including legal, economic, competitive, and socio-demographic factors that influence the market and the company's ability to succeed.

They will also be able to work closely with broker partners at a senior management level to build and develop the portfolio, ensuring that financial plans are met or exceeded.

The Senior Trading Underwriter will have a detailed understanding of sophisticated pricing practices and methodologies, as well as extensive knowledge of the legal, regulatory, and compliance provisions that apply to the UK motor insurance market.

They will also be able to identify, monitor, and manage risks that threaten the achievement of objectives and the future success of the business.
