The primary function of this role is to provide operational line management and direction for the Mental Health department, encompassing Patient Flow and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry workforce.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a high level of safety and quality in healthcare by actively participating in continuous improvement activities within the workplace and reporting concerns to relevant officers when necessary.
  • Exercising advanced clinical leadership abilities to facilitate integration of services across specialties within a clinical area, resulting in the coordination of effective Mental Health and Specialised Services delivery.
  • Providing expert clinical advice to clinicians, teams, and stakeholders on professional standards, service initiatives, needs, and clinical development.
