Senior Finance Manager Role

The finance manager is responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and financial controls for renewable energy projects in Australia.

  • Manage the general ledger activities for the business and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian GAAP and IFRS, including complex areas such as derivatives and revenue.
  • Prepare and review internal and audited external financial statements.
  • Handle quarterly IFRS reporting for group consolidation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely regulatory filings.
  • Monitor contracts for proper accounting treatment.
  • Provide financial reports and metrics for decision-making.
  • Manage balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets, receivables, and payables.
  • Coordinate with the finance and treasury teams on cash flow, debt, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the global renewables accounting team.
  • Work with internal departments and the Shared Service Centre to ensure efficient and high-quality processing.

Requirements:

  • A Chartered Accountant qualification with at least 5 years of experience, preferably with a Big 4 or major CPA firm.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Australian GAAP; a good understanding of GL, AP, AR, and fixed assets.
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with audited financial statements and public company compliance.
  • Industry experience in wind, power, or real estate partnerships is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, invoice approval tools, and software implementation.
  • A cost-conscious and efficiency-driven approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
  • A team player with integrity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
