Job Title: Visual Art Teacher, High School – Part Time

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Visual Art Teacher to join our team at Lorien Novalis Steiner School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality arts education programs to secondary students, working within the Steiner curriculum framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a nurturing learning environment that fosters creativity and artistic expression.
  • Implement and deliver the Visual Art Curriculum, including the development of engaging teaching programs and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and evaluate curriculum and teaching programs.
  • Contribute to the school's commitment to Steiner education and its cross-disciplinary approach to learning.
  • Participate in school-based professional learning and ongoing self-study of Steiner Education and Anthroposophy.
Selection Criteria:
  • Strong background in teaching Visual Art, with experience in a Steiner school context an advantage.
  • General understanding of Steiner education principles and practices.
  • Ability to develop effective learning programs and resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working in teams and ability to be a willing team member.
Requirements:
  • Secondary teaching qualifications meeting NESA requirements.
  • Current WWCC (Working With Children Check).
