Sport Educator

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Sport Teacher to join our team at St Thomas Catholic Primary School, Willoughby.

This is a 12-month temporary, part-time (0.4FTE) position to commence Term 1, 2025. The working days for this position are Wednesday and Thursday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Teaching Physical Education from K-6, promoting regular participation in physical activity and sport.
• Creating a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners.
• Analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students.
• Managing and facilitating a safe and supportive Stage Three learning environment.
• Contributing to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A 4-year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide you with a four-year trained qualification.
• Experience in teaching Physical Education from K-6.
• Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
