Sport Educator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly effective and skilled Sport Teacher to join our team at St Thomas Catholic Primary School, Willoughby. This is a 12-month temporary, part-time (0.4FTE) position to commence Term 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education from K-6, promoting regular, enjoyable participation in physical activity and sport.
• Contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and student achievement.
• Apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment.
• Manage and facilitate a safe and supportive Stage Three learning environment.
• Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.

Requirements

• Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School.
• Capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement.
• Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment.
• Experience in teaching Physical Education from K-6.
• Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data.
• Highly effective in managing and facilitating a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
