At UGL, we are seeking a talented Civil Structural Engineer to lead and innovate in brownfield and asset maintenance projects within the fuel terminals and petrochemical sectors.

This role involves working with a team of engineers and designers to provide safe, reliable, and efficient technical expertise to the business.

The successful candidate will be based in our Brisbane office and work on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide civil and structural engineering design, ensuring top-quality deliverables that align with project and business needs.
  • Design and analysis of tanks and tank foundations, with API650 compliance highly desirable.
  • Design of piling foundations.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, underpinned by thorough technical analyses and adherence to all applicable codes and standards.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members, maintaining robust professional relationships.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of engineering design exposure, particularly in the resource, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
  • Comprehensive experience in the design of piling foundations.
  • Expertise in piled tank foundations, bulk storage tank design, and general structures & foundations.
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEQ qualified, would be highly regarded.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
