Senior Solicitor Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solicitor Leader to join our legal team.

  • This role provides advice and casework services across a diverse range of funded programs.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to consider their work through the lens of client impact. A strong background in leading complex casework is essential, preferably 5+ years.

A demonstrated track record of supervising, mentoring and developing legal staff and volunteers is also required.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, adaptable and collaborative leadership style.

About This Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solicitor Leader to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.

As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and lead complex casework.

You will also mentor and supervise staff solicitors and volunteers, using active matters as learning opportunities.

  • Workload management

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of compliance and risk management.

They will also be able to promote a positive team culture and represent our organization at stakeholder forums.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and supervise staff solicitors and volunteers
  • Lead complex casework
  • Oversee team operations

The successful candidate will be eligible to hold an unrestricted Practising Certificate and have relevant post-admission experience.
