Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced insurance defendant specialist to join our rapidly growing insurance practice in Darwin.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients and partners, handling complex statutory insurance matters including workers' compensation, recoveries and compulsory third-party claims.

About the Role

Your Skills and Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years post-admission experience within workers' compensation;
  • Prior experience as a defendant side lawyer or a plaintiff background willing to transition into a defendant practice;
  • A genuine interest in contributing to the success of our insurance practice;
  • Clear, concise legal writing skills; and
  • Strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling complex statutory insurance matters, including workers' compensation, recoveries and compulsory third-party claims;
  • Working closely with clients and partners to develop effective solutions;
  • Developing expertise in insurance law through ongoing learning and professional development.
