About the Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary Human Resources Specialist to join our Corporate Services Division as a People and Culture Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, learning and development, and strategic implementation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver comprehensive HR strategies that drive organizational success.
  • Develop and manage training programs to support staff growth and development, utilizing data insights to inform improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance people systems and improve service delivery, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities

As a People and Culture Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment: Developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract top talent and build a high-performing team.
  • Learning and Development: Designing and delivering training programs to support staff growth and development, and providing data-driven insights to inform improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic Implementation: Working closely with stakeholders to implement HR strategies and drive organizational success.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Sound knowledge of NSW public sector HR frameworks, including Government Sector Employment Act and relevant policies.
  • Broad experience across key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and policy administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret workforce data and generate reports for operational and strategic use.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

In addition, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Education, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a HR generalist or learning and development role, preferably within a public sector or complex regulatory environment.
