Client Relationship Manager

The Japanese Corporate Banking Department provides banking and financial services to support businesses of Japanese companies operating in Australia. Our customer relationships are typically part of a global relationship network originated in Japan.

We offer lending, deposit, FX and other market and derivative products, banking transactions using an online platform, asset management, and import/export finance.

In this role, you will manage and maintain client relationships with Japanese corporations under supervision by department heads and liaise with global relationship managers in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with business and product partners to achieve profit targets
  • Initiating designated portfolio RORA improvement and profit target initiatives
  • Supporting department heads and team members to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Acting as independent point of contact for daily communication and visits to clients
  • Working with teams and internal product partners to pitch banking services to clients
  • Responsible for understanding clients' financial statements and risks
  • Building trust with global relationship managers, product partners, and business partners
  • Managing end-to-end transaction processes and developing strong stakeholder management
