Skilled Nursing Leader Wanted

The role of the Midwifery Unit Manager is to lead and direct patient care, ensuring safe and efficient nursing and midwifery practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating the nursing and midwifery team at the ward or unit level
- Maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvement initiatives
- Managing business and management functions and processes of the ward or unit
The successful candidate will have:
- Broad midwifery experience and knowledge
- Understanding and acceptance of patients as the central focus of service delivery
- Professional integrity and ethical conduct
- Accountability, advocacy, enabling others, and cultivating collaborative relationships
This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can create and maintain a positive workplace culture.
Selection Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in health care services delivery and management
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture
