Senior Research Infrastructure Specialist

We seek an innovative and visionary academic leader to join our team as a Senior Research Infrastructure Specialist.

  • Develop strategic plans for the AURIN WA Node project, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with government agencies, academic partners, and platform providers to drive collaborative research initiatives.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, interoperable infrastructure aligned with AURIN systems, focusing on sustainable and climate-resilient solutions.
  • Guide the development of analytical tools and data integration strategies to support evidence-based decision-making in climate-related projects.
  • Champion sustainability planning, capacity building, and long-term impact across research and policy communities through expert collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic plans for the AURIN WA Node project, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery.

Essential Criteria:

We're seeking a senior academic who meets the following essential criteria:

  • A PhD in urban planning, data science, geography, transport, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in complex research infrastructure or data platform projects.
  • Expertise in data science, spatial analysis, and infrastructure for climate or urban research.
  • A strong track record of stakeholder engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Familiarity with AURIN, government data systems, and planning support tools (highly desirable).
