Climate Action Project Manager

This is a unique opportunity to lead a transformative project that supports Western Australia's climate action agenda through data-driven innovation in transport and urban planning.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in data science, spatial analysis, and infrastructure for climate or urban research. The successful candidate will drive the strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of the AURIN WA Node project.

  • A PhD in a related field such as urban planning, data science, geography, transport, environmental science.
  • Proven leadership in complex research infrastructure or data platform projects.
  • Familiarity with AURIN, government data systems, and planning support tools (highly desirable).

The role offers a chance to champion sustainability planning, capacity building, and long-term impact across research and policy communities. You will oversee the design and implementation of scalable, interoperable infrastructure aligned with AURIN systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of the AURIN WA Node project.
  2. Lead stakeholder engagement with government agencies, academic partners, and platform providers.
  3. Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, interoperable infrastructure aligned with AURIN systems.
  4. Guide the development of analytical tools and data integration strategies to support climate-related decision-making.
  5. Champion sustainability planning, capacity building, and long-term impact across research and policy communities.

Selection Criteria:

  • A strong track record of stakeholder engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Familiarity with government data systems and planning support tools (highly desirable).
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role to be considered. Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to our satisfaction.
