Director of Media Communications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Media Communications to lead our Media Branch and drive our strategic communications efforts.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in media relations, public affairs, and communications, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies to promote the National Disability Insurance Agency's (NDIA) policies, programs, and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement communications strategies to engage with key stakeholders, including media, government, and the community.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government, and the community.
- Provide advice and guidance on media relations, public affairs, and communications to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement media campaigns to promote the NDIA's policies, programs, and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage to identify trends and opportunities for engagement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists.
- Provide media training and coaching to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in media relations, public affairs, and communications.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
