Job Title

Reporting to the Senior Liaison Officer, you provide a single point of contact in addressing complaints and enquiries. The Liaison Officer facilitates liaison between departments and agencies to resolve matters raised by members of the public.

The successful person will have demonstrated:

  • A high level understanding of organisational operations, policies, services and structures.
  • A strong ability to develop sensitive and practical responses to complex issues.
  • Strong written, analytical and research skills, including issue identification and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.

About the Role

The Department of Health is responsible for managing the public health system in Queensland. We are an organisation that values collaboration and teamwork.

The Ministerial and Executive Services Unit coordinates the flow of information across Queensland Health and externally to stakeholders. This unit also manages critical and emergent issues, incoming health inquiries and correspondence, and customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide a single point of contact for addressing complaints and enquiries.
  2. Facilitate liaison between departments and agencies to resolve matters raised by members of the public.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve communication and collaboration between teams.
