Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant LeadEstimated Salary: AU$95,000 - AU$110,000 per year

In this full-time permanent role, you will be accountable for supporting financial reporting to stakeholders, including external regulators, internal business unit management, and external audit relationships. You will perform month-end accounting, including journal processing and the review and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Additionally, you will contribute to technical accounting advice and ensure correct financial processing that supports day-to-day financial management for MMS businesses.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure MMS meets all its financial regulatory compliance requirements for its Group and Subsidiary entities on a timely basis.
  • Prepare and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, including proactive follow-up on aged balances and/or reconciling variances.
  • Provide relevant analysis and commentary regarding statutory results to support other financial reporting requirements and internal performance management.
  • Offer technical accounting advice to business unit management and senior leaders to ensure impacts of business transactions are clear and properly processed.
  • Review the analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information.
Requirements:
  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with business managers and other senior leaders
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, proficient in Excel, and Word.
  • Leadership and coaching/mentoring of financial accounting team members
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in financial reporting and accounting in a corporate or professional services environment
  • Relevant accounting qualification from membership of professional Accounting bodies (CA ANZ, CPA)
