About this Role

We are seeking a qualified IT Trainer and Assessor to join our team.

As an IT Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering classes in person, developing/revising assessment tools, conducting and marking assessments, and responding to student enquiries regarding course content and assessments.

  • Delivering classes for ICT50220 Diploma Of Information Technology and ICT60220 Advanced Diploma Of Information Technology;
  • Developing/revising assessment tools to ensure currency and compliance with relevant standards;
  • Conducting and marking assessments, including RPL;
  • Conducting validation of assessments;
  • Responding to student enquiries regarding course content and assessments;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116);
  • Qualifications relevant to ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology or higher;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Strong understanding of cultural diversity and sensitivity;
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong organisation and planning skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledgeable, understanding and commitment to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and other legislation and regulations relevant to the VET sector;
  • Proactive and passionate about the student experience;

What You Will Need To Do The Job

This is a casual, part-time position requiring a strong ability to work autonomously and within a team environment. Based in Canberra, you will be required to deliver classes in person and conduct assessments.

You must be immediately available for work and have vocational experience working in relevant hands-on roles. Experience training international students at a CRICOS-registered RTO or in a higher education or TAFE setting would be highly regarded.
