About this exciting culinary opportunity

Are you ready to kick-start your culinary career in a luxury environment? We offer the chance to join our busy Kitchen and highly regarded brigade as an Apprentice Chef.

You will have the opportunity to build your skills in food preparation and presentation, learning from skilled and internationally experienced professionals. You'll be exposed to a variety of service styles, including a la carte, buffet, room service, and functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the team with high-quality food preparation and presentation for all service periods.
  • Rotation through a range of kitchens, including restaurant, events, and pastry.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Liaising with Food and Beverage Attendants.
  • Preparing food and mise en place according to daily production sheets.
  • Working efficiently to keep portion sizes under control and wastage to a minimum.
  • Being actively involved in learning your trade.
  • Cleaning equipment and working areas after each service.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A passion for food and cooking.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
  • Currently studying or enrolled to study in 2025.
  • The willingness to learn and take instruction from experienced chefs.
  • An ability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Australian citizenship.
